TRUITT, Solomon - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Solomon Truitt was born Jan 17, 1795 near Coschocton, Ohio and was married to Julia Robinson about 1830 in Indianapolis. They were parents of four sons: Mortimer, Arza, Willard and Solomon R, the latter being the father of Arza W, Roland S and Ella M. Truitt of this city.  

The father Solomon died in Fountain County, Indiana May 17, 1837 and was buried in Hopkins' cemetery southwest of Attica. During the last week his remaining grandchildren, Roland S., and Ella M. Truitt, had the remains removed and reinterred on the Truitt lot in Crownland Cemetery. Although the body was interred 91 years ago they found an almost perfect skeleton. - kbz
