Mrs. Orilla E. Truax, age 74, of Fairmount, Ill., sister of Mrs. Odessa McGlassan of Hillsboro, died at Morris Hospital at Morris, Ill., early Friday morning, Dec. 16. She had lived with her daughter Mrs. J. D. Jones, since the death of her husband Nov. 13, 1966. Mrs. Truax was born in Fithian, Ill., Oct. 11, 1892, the daughter of Chester and Lena McFarland. She was married to William Jess Truax in Covington in 1922. Surviving are: three sons, Everett Woodard, Verne Woodard of Fox Lake, Charles Truax of Rhode Island; six daughters, Mrs. Flossie Hall of Mississippi, Mrs. Thelma Hoffman of Chicago, Mrs. June Bell of Alsip, Mrs. Ruth Carter and Mrs. Barnadine Baker, both of California, and Mrs. J. D. Jones of Morris; one sister, Mrs. McGlassan of Hillsboro; one brother, Nelson McFarland of Grape Creek; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Carrington Funeral Home in Fairmount. The Rev. Berton Heleine officiated and burial was in Mount Vernon Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
