TRINKLE, J. William - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

J. William Trinkle of Danville, Illinois, age 86, died Sunday afternoon, July 25, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Veedersburg, July 20, 1896, the son of Boliver and Eva Mae Lightle Trinkle. June 9, 1920, he married Nellie May Shepherd, who survives. Trinkle was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church and had retired in 1952 after 33 years as head bookkeeper and cashier with Webster Wholesale Grocery. He was a 1914 graduate of Hillsboro High School and attended Utterback-Brown Business College in Danville.

   Also surviving are three sons, Frank M. of Lakewood, California, John W. Jr. of Indianapolis and Ernest L. of Danville; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Pape Memorial Home in Danville with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville. – thanks to S
