Mrs. Anna Townsend, 45, of 807 S. McDonald St, Attica died at 1:30 p.m. Friday (July 9, 1955) at the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis  where she was a patient 11 weeks.  She had been ill 8 years. Born July 9, 1909 near Williamsport, she was the daughter of Henry and Margaret Odle Anno.  She was married to James A. Townsend in May 1935 in Atticia. Surviving are her mother of Williamsport; a son James Jr. at home and three daughters, Miss Barbara Jean Townsend at home; Mrs. Margaret Lillie of Tab, Ind and Mrs. Edith Livengood of Attica; two brothers Cecil of Bowerstown, Ohio and Charles of Attica, Mrs. Beulah Berryman of Jackson  Mich and Luella Quinton of Curea, Tex and one grandchild. Funeral services were held at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica on Monday with burial in the Old Baptist Cemetery near Newtown.
