TOWELL, Linda Smith - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

WEST LEBANON — Linda M. (Smith) Wright Towell, 58, Williamsport, died 6:05 p.m. September 29, 1999 in the Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been hospitalized since Sept. 20. Born August 30, 1941, Champaign, Ill. she was the daughter of Hayden and Mary Thomas Smith. She first married Claude Harrison Wright, Sr. in 1962. She later married James Towell on January 23, 1966 in Covington. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1967. She was a 1959 Covington High School graduate. She formerly lived in Tucson, Ariz. and Kingman, before moving to the West Lebanon area two years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed to crochet and draw. Survivors include: son, Claude Wright, Williamsport; daughter, Denisa Mack, Attica; mother, Mary Smith, Covington; brother, Terry Smith, Covington; and three grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her father and two brothers. Following cremation, private grave site services were 2 p.m. Oct. 3, in Payne Cemetery, near Brockton, Ill. Maus Funeral Home, Attica was in charge of local arrangements. – jlr
