Loren E. Todd Sr., 77, of Hobart, father of a Covington resident, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 1978, at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.
Todd had worked 42 years with the U. S. Steel Corp.-Gary Works. He retired in 1965 and had resided in Hobart 52 years.
Todd was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hobart.
Born March 5, 1901, in Decker, Ind., he was the son of Charles E. and Lula Sisson Todd.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi; two sons, the Rev. Loren E. Todd Jr. of Covington and Harry A. Todd of Parsons, Kan.; three brothers, Carl of Cincinnati, Ohio, Clarence of San Diego, Calif., and David of Indianapolis; three sisters, Mrs. John (Lela) Hinkle of Vincennes, Mrs. Glen (Jessie) Mumaw of Decker of Mrs. Clem (Marietta) Decker of Evansville; and four grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday at the Rees Funeral Home in Hobart, with the Rev. Donald Weaver and the Rev. Glen Mumaw officiating. Burial was in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
