Funeral services for William H. (Billy) Tinsman, 74, well known business man of Attica, who died at 1:05 a.m. Monday, were held at 2 p..m. Wednesday in the Roemer Funeral Chapel. Rev. Louis Haskell pastor of the Attica First Methodist Church of which Mr. Tinsman was a member, conducted the service with interment in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Tinsman died in the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient four weeks. Several months ago, while serving as manager of the L. C. Roemer & Son furniture store, he was taken ill and underwent surgery. Under medical treatment since, he never was able to resume his duties.
"Billy" Tinsman was born on June 4, 1889, attended the Attica .schools, and had a long business career. He was a popular master of ceremonies at local Attica functions. He was a furniture salesman for Coffing & Robinson when L. C. Roemer and his son, John, bought the latter firm, Mr. Tinsman remained as store manager.
In 1910, Mr. .Tinsman married Regina Mitcham who survives, with a son, Donald of Flora; four sisters, three .brothers, and two grandchildren.
