TIMMONS, Leroy Elmer - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Leroy Elmer Timmons, 76 of Attica, died at his home at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 26. Born in Benton County July 19, 1879, the son of Thomas Jefferson and Rachel Hall Timmons he married the former Mary VanDame at Berryvale, Ind May 7, 1905. She survives.  He was formerly employed by the Harrison Steel Foundry in Attica and was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church and Attica Order of Moose. Other survivors include a son, Thomas of Alexandria, La and four daughters: Mrs. Eugene Otterman and Mrs. Morris Anderson both of Hammond; Mrs. Lorraine Crowder of Attica and Mrs. Maurice Oursler of Williamsport.  The body will be taken Thursday from the DeSutter Funeral Home to the family residence where friends may call.  Funeral services were held Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church conducted by Rev. Richard Peutz. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery. – kbz
