Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Timmons, 81, a resident of Veedersburg for more than 50 years, who died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Holford Remster of near Hillsboro, was held from the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Veedersburg at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. John Cassidy was in charge, assisted by Rev. Robert Todd and burial was at Salem Cemetery near Attica. The body was returned to the Remster home here Tuesday where it remained until 12:30 Wednesday with a prayer service held at the Remster home.
Mrs. Timmons had been cared for in the Remster home for several months. Mrs. Timmons was born April 30, 1867 in Boone County, Indiana, daughter of Aaron and Lucinda Hysong. She was married to Jasper Timmons, who preceded her in death 13 years. The survivors are five daughters: Mrs. Lulu Campbell, Crawfordsville; Mrs. Laura Paramore, Santa Ana, Calif; Mrs. Nell Remster, Hillsboro; Mrs. Helen Moore, Waynetown and Mrs. Frances Davis, Lafayette; three sons, CW Timmons, Portland, Ore; CE Timmons, Layton, Utah and Harry Timmons, San Diego, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Martin Funk, Attica; a brother, John Hysong, Lafayette; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren ---transcribed by kbz - provided by Betty D.
