Mrs. Oscar (Mary Louise) Tibbett died Wednesday afternoon at her home in Veedersburg after being in failing health for several years. She had been seriously ill for the past three months. Mrs. Tibbett was born at Leavenworth, Indiana Oct 7, 1895, a daughter of Andrew and Rose Trobaugh Givens. She was married to John Cable Feb 16, 1912 and he preceded her in death in January 1917. On Nov 30, 1918 she was married to Oscar Tibbett who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Lewis Cable of Danville, Earl Cable of Veedersburg, two daughters, Mrs. Gregory King of Veedersburg and Mrs. Edna May of Plymouth, two sisters, Mrs. Guy Shoaf and Mrs. Roy Walls and a brother Russell Givens, all of Veedersburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sherman. – kbz
VEEDERSBURG — Mrs. Mary Louise Tibbett, 61, died at her home here Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. She had suffered a series of strokes for the past six years, but had been seriously ill only about three months. She was born in Leavenworth, Ind., Oct. 7, 1895, the daughter of Andrew and Rose Trobaugh Givens, She was twice-married, the first time to John Cable Feb. 16, 1912. Following Mr. Cable's death, she married Oscar Tibbett in 1918. Mrs. Tibbett was a member of the Veedersburg EUB Church. Surviving are the husband; two sons, Lewis Cable of Danville, Ill., and Earl Cable of Veedersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Gregory King of Veedersburg and Mrs. Edna May of Plymouth; two sisters, Mrs. Guy Shoaf and Mrs. Roy Wall, both of Veedersburg; and one brother, Russell Givens of Veedersburg.
