TIBBETT, Cherell Kiger - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Cherrel B. Tibbett of Cates, age 56, died Tuesday morning, November 30, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born in Troy Township, Fountain County, August 13, 1926, the daughter of Cloyd N. and Verna Allen Kiger. February 29, 1949, she married Junior Tibbett, who survives. Mrs. Tibbett was a member of Yeddo Order of the Eastern Star and Shrine Hillbilly Clan 28. She had worked at General Electric in Danville and General Motors Central Foundry at Tilton, Illinois.

  Also surviving are four daughters, Jessie K. Drollinger of Danville, Loretta Wooster of Springfield, Illinois, Cherrel Barnett and Kathie Haga, both of RR 3, Kingman; twin sons, Terry of RR 1, Covington, and Jerry of RR 1, Kingman; a sister, Charlotte Davis of rural Kingman; six brothers, Cloyd Kiger Jr. of Colburn, Carl, Cliston and Clifford, all of rural Kingman, Clarence of Hillsboro and Cyril Lee of Rensselaer; and 27 grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Dennis Keefer officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington.
