Edna “Rachael”
Thorlton, 81, of Danville, Illinois, died at 2:10 p.m. Monday, February 12,
2001 at Provena USMC, Logan Campus. Born August 10, 1919 in Attica, she was the
daughter of the late Ralph Newton and Elma Cornelia (Scott) Fletcher. She
married William Thorlton May 20, 1940 in Danville. He survives. Also surviving,
are: two sons, William (Donna) Thorlton of Lake Placid, Fla. and Michael
(Sharon) Thorlton of Danville; three sisters, Irmadale (Bob) Beedle and Mary
(Leon) Clifton of Danville; a sister-in-law, Audrey Thorlton of Florida; a
brother-in-law, Robert (Mickey) Thorlton of Danville; four grandchildren, ten
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in
death by three brothers and a great-grandson. Visitation from 1-1:30 p.m. (CST)
Thursday at Pape Memorial Home & Gardens, followed by the service at 1:30
p.m. with Drew Mentzer officiating. Interment in Danville National Cemetery.
