W. S. (Tommy) Thompson, a former resident of Anderson, died Tuesday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Thompson had been employed as a guard at the Pendleton Reformatory and had also been in charge of the Officers' Home there for a number of years. He had also worked in Plant Protection at Delco-Remy Division and had served in a similar capacity at the Emge Packing Plant. A native of Hillsboro, Ind., he had resided in Pendleton and Portland, Ind., as well as Anderson, and had retired to Hillsboro after the death of his wife, Minnie Royal Thompson, a few years ago. Surviving are a stepson, Joe Lines of Anderson; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Martin of Danville, Ill.; and a niece, Mrs. Anita Haven of Anderson. Final rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
