Mrs. Vanda L. Thompson, 75 of 608 E. Market St., died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Maple View Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born Aug. 7, 1890 at Linden to Isaac and Mary Mahorney Whitecotton. She married William Thompson Oct. 30, 1909. Mrs. Thompson attended the Christian Church at Linden. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Harris of Crawfordsville; six sons, Kenneth Joseph of Hillsboro, John of Lafayette, William, Max and Robert of Crawfordsville and Stanley of Quincy, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Bessier Capper of California, and 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Carlyle Scott officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

HILLSBORO—Funeral services for Mrs. Vanda L. Thompson, age 73, of Crawfordsville, mother of Kenneth Joseph
Thompson of Hillsboro, who died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Maple View Nursing Home, Crawfordsville, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home there.  The Rev. Carlyle Scott officiated and burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born Aug. 7, 1892 at Linden, the daughter of Isaac and Mary Mahorney Whitecotton.  She married William Thompson Oct. 30, 1909 and he preceded her in death.  She attended the Christian Church at Linden.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Harris of Crawfordsville; six sons, Kenneth Joseph of Hillsboro, John of Lafayette, William, Max and Robert of Crawfordsville and Stanley of Quincy, Ill.; one sister Mrs. Bessie Capper of Caiifornia, and 23 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
