Roger Thompson of Danville, Illinois, age 33, was killed Sunday, February 7, when the semi-truck he was driving overturned on Interstate 24 on a mountainside near Monteagle, Tennessee. He was born in Danville, July 19, 1948, the son of Eldon and Illene Smiley Thompson. July 30, 1976, he married Linda Cline, who survives.
  Also surviving are two sons, Danny and Doug, both at home; three stepsons, Bill of Oakwood, Illinois, Jerry of Tilton, Illinois, and John, at home; two brothers, Steve of Fithian, Illinois, and Lance of Covington; and three sisters, Diana Larson and Karen Weident, both of Oakwood, Illinois, and Penny Edmonds of Danville, Illinois.
  Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at Urbas Funeral Home in Westville, Illinois, with Rev. E. L. Cloninger officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Danville. -s
