  Mrs. Lula Aletha Thompson, 84, Covington, died at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, November 24, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois.

  Born January 1, 1899 in Dennison, Illinois, she was the daughter of Melvin and Ida Williams Weaver. She married Gust Thompson, who died February 21, 1974. She was a member of the Dennison United Methodist Church.

    Survivors include two sons, Harlan Thompson of Marshall, Illinois, and Eugene Thompson of Findlay, Ohio; two daughters, Betty June Bowling of Osceola, and Joan Allen of Covington; 14 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. A son preceded her in death.

  Services were conducted Sunday at Moore-Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall, Illinois with Rev. Warren Allen officiating. Burial was in Marshall Cemetery. -s
