THOMPSON, Jack M.

  Jack M. Thompson of Tangier, age 56 died Thursday morning, March 17, at his home. He was born in Parke County, July 28, 1926, the son of Fred M. and Goldie Cunningham Thompson. He married Mona Louise Swaim, who survives. Thompson was a veteran of World War II and was an employee of Russellville Stone Company. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and International Operating Engineers Union.
  Also surviving are a daughter, Sheila Ann Young of Bloomingdale; three sons, Jack Jr. of RR, Bloomingdale, Gerald of Rockville and Marlon of Tangier; a sister, Dorothy McIntire of Munster; a half sister, Bertha Carter of Coatesville; and six grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Barnes Mortuary with Rev. James O. Trousdale officiating. Military graveside rites and burial were in Rush Creek Cemetery. – thanks to S
