THOMPSON, Edward L. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

 Edward L. Thompson died Wednesday, June 30, in the Indiana Veterans Home at Lafayette. He was the son of a prominent Fountain County couple, William H. and Alice Yount Thompson of Covington. A retired executive of General Motors corporation, he was a member of the Covington Methodist Church, a 62-year member of American Legion and VFW.

  Survivors include the widow, Loraine Livengood Thompson; a daughter, Willa Constantine of Hammond; two stepsons, Robert Ellsworth Redding of Washington, D.C. and Jack Livengood Weber of Indianapolis; and a niece, Marjorie Sims of Hollywood, Florida.

  Funeral services were conducted in the Veterans Home Chapel on Friday and burial was in the Veterans Home Cemetery.
