THOMASON, Mossie L.

COVINGTON - Funeral services for Mossie L. Thomason, age 82, of Danville, Ill., father of Mrs. John (Katherine) Hayden of Covington, who died Friday morning, April 4, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville.
The Rev. J. T. Myers, the Rev. Carl Wright and the Rev. Edgar Allen of Covington officiated.  Burial was in Stearns Cemetery,
near Danville.
Mr. Thomason died in the Vermilion Nursing Home in Danville where he bad been a patient since March 22.
He was born April 11, 1886, in Glasgow, Ky., the son of Odie and America Kinslow Thomason.  He was a member of the Home
Gardens Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are: his widow, Addie; three daughters, Mrs, William (Leona) Cappes of Lafayette, Mrs. Gilbert (Effie) Stull of
Kingman and Mrs. Hayden of Covington; three sons, James and the Rev. John Thomason, both of Danville, and Chester of
Finland, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jack White of Yorktown, N.Y., and Mrs, Cecil Brown of Orange, Calif.; 29 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  He also has three brothers, Arthur of Louisville, Ky., and
Howard and Art, both of Glasgow, Ky.
Mr. Thomason was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife in 1950, five brothers and son.
