THOMAS, William Cecil

William Cecil Thomas, 69, a life resident of the Tangier community died at 12:40 P.M. Monday July 25, 11990 at his home following a heart attack.  He had been in failing health for some time.  Born Oct 19, 1890 in Tangier, he was the son of John and Lucinda Jackson Thomas. He was married in April 1913 to Beulah Lindley who preceded him in death Oct 26, 1931. He was later married on May 14, 1938 to Mrs. Alpha Zackmire who survives.  Mr. Thomas had worked on the Nicle Plate Railroad until he was forced to resign because of his health.  He had operated a grocery store in Tangier for 10 years retiring two years ago. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen Brock of Frazier, Colo and two grandchildren.  He also was preceded in death by a brother, Claude. Services were held Thursday with burial at Tangier Cemetery.
