Thelma Thomas, the 13-year-old daughter of Mrs. Curtis Wiley who moved from Attica to Forest Hill early this spring, was killed instantly last Sunday morning when she fell from a cable swing on Clifty Creek. The tragedy occurred at the reunion and picnic of the Wiley family and was witnessed by the mother, who is prostrated with grief.

The child was seated in a swing suspended from a big tree at the side of the creek, the seat board was broken and the little girl caught the cable and started swinging. It is thought she fainted fem over exertion,
causing her to lose her hold. When she fell her head struck a rock, the blow fell over her temple and death came instantly.

Besides the mother she is survived by four brothers: James of this city; Charles and Max of Forest Hill and Glen of Rockville; two sisters, Lois Thomas and Mrs. Samuel Edmonds, of Clinton; and three step sisters ad
brothers.

Thelma was a sweet lovable child, she attended the schools in Attica last winter and her many friends will be grieved to hear of her tragic death.
