THOMAS, Roy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

  Roy Thomas of Danville, Illinois, age 87, died Sunday morning, May 8, in Vermilion Manor Nursing Home, where he had lived since 1981. He was born at Catlin, Illinois, September 23, 1895, the son of Sam and Florence Kirkhart Thomas. He was employed for many years by Reeves Sawmill at Catlin.

  Survivors include two brothers, Dale of Covington and Fred of Vermilion Manor Nursing Home; two sisters, Edna Hamick of Vermilion Manor and Pearl Neal of Tomahawk, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Barrick and Son Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. David Berhoefen officiating. Burial was in Pate Cemetery near Catlin. – thanks to S
