VEEDERSBURG — Paul E. Thomas, 82, Veedersburg, died at 7:31 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 in the Lane House Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. He was born June 21, 1920 in Yeddo, the son of Harry and Artea Royce Thomas. He married Marjorie M. Mears Oct. 22, 1939 in Wallace. She preceded in death Sept. 15, 1998. He served during World War II and retired from Harrison Steel in Attica in 1982. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and tinkering in his garage. Survivors include: a brother, Franklin (Mary) Thomas, Veedersburg; a sister, Alberta Asbury, Universal City, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Veedersburg United Methodist Church, corner of Third and Main, with the Rev. Edwin Retter officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, was in charge of arrangements. – jlr
