Mrs. Helen Val Thomas, 85, Kingman died at 9 p.m Tuesday November 4 at her home. Born Sept 29, 1890, near Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Morton and Martha Bonebrake Patton. On December 18, 1913, she was married to Harry Thomas, who died September 21, 1951. Survivors include 3 daughters, Miss Lucille Thomas of Kingman, Mrs Harold (Louise) Breeden of Plymouth and Mrs. (Lois) Lentz of Indianpaolis; a son John "Bill" Thomas of RR 2, Kingman; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of VHS and Indiana Teachers Normal of Terre Haute. She taught 3 years, two at Newtown. She was a member of the South MIllcreek Home demonstration Club, NGO Birthday Club, Kingman Christian Church and Ladies Aid, Kingman Woman's Club, Veedersburg DAR Chapter and Pythian Sisters. Private services were held Friday at Woodrow Funeral Home with Mark Gallagher officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery

Services for Helen Vall Thomas, 85, of Kingman, were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Woodrow Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Gallager officiating. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.

  Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Veedersburg High School and Indiana State Normal College. She taught three years, two of them at Newtown.

  She was born September 29, 1890 near Veedersburg and was the only child of Morton and Martha Bonebrake Patton. She married Harry Thomas on Dec. 18, 1913. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1951. -s
