KINGMAN

Mrs. Abbie Thomas, 52, died Tuesday morning in the Wabash Valley Nursing Home at Montezuma. She was a daughter of Emerson and Nellie Swaim Barker and was born in Parke County Dec. 21, 1910. She married Freeman Thomas. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lee Thomas of Phoenix, Ariz., and Martha Gail Thomas, a student at Indiana State College at Terre Haute, and her father, Emerson Barker of Kingman. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her mother in 1962. Funeral services are tentatively set for 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Woodrow Funeral Home here. Mrs. Ruth Isaacs will officiate, and burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Born in Parke County, Dec. 21, 1910, she was the daughter of Emerson and Nellie Swaim Barker.  She was married to Freeman Thomas.
Survivors include two daughters, Miss Mary Lee Thomas of Phoenix, Arizona and Miss Martha Gail Thomas, a student at Indiana State Teachers College in Terre Haute; and her father of Kingman.  She was preceded in death by her mother in 1962.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Woodrow Funeral Home with Mrs. Ruth Isaacs officiating.  Burial was in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
