Veedersburg, Sept. 6—Henry W. Teegarden, 65 years old, died Tuesday night about midnight after having been in failing health several months, and seriously ill three days. Born near Kingman, Mr. Teegarden, who had devoted most of his life to farming, was the son of Jacob and Lucinda Teegarden. Mr. Teegarden came here from Danville where he resided several years. He suffered the loss of an arm in a corn shredder accident a few years ago after having worked on a number of farms in the vicinity of Veedersburg. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Della Green of Danville, Ill. and a brother, Louis Teegarden of Veedersburg. The body was taken to the Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, pending arrangements for the services. -s-
Henry W. Teegarden, 65, retired farm laborer died Tuesday night in the hospital at Clinton where he had been a patient the past 3 days. He had been in ill health several months.
Mr. Teegarden was born in the vicinity of Kingman, the son of Jacob and Lucinda Teegarden. He lived in Danville a number of year then 7 years ago came to Veedersburg. He was forced to quit farm work when his arm was torn off in a corn shredder.
Mr. Teegarden who never married is survived by a sister, Mrs. Della Green of Danville, and a brother, Lewis of Veedersburg.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Cooper's Chapel, south of Covington --- transcribed by kbz
