Newtown, Ind. — Lloyd Leslie Taylor, 77, died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at his home 10 miles northeast of Newtown following a year's illness. A farmer, he married Blanche Davis in 1921, who preceded him in 1945. He married Kate Royal in 1959 at Newtown, who survives. He was a member of Jackson Heights Methodist Church, a 51-year member of F&AM, Shawnee Lodge and the American Trotters Association. Also surviving are a son, Lloyd L. Taylor Jr. of near West Point; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Morgan of Attica Route 2; a stepson, Robert Royal of Crawfordsville and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Blankenship of West Lafayette and Mrs. Nell North of Attica Route 1; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Hippensteele Funeral Home in Lafayette after 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Rites will be given by Odell at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hippensteele Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Schenck of Newtown Methodist Church and the Rev. Richard L. Bowman of Jackson Heights Methodist Church officiating. Lloyd Leslie Taylor, age 77, died Thursday July 6 (1967) at his home ten miles northeast of Newtown, following a year’s illness.  In 1921, Mr. Taylor married Blanche Davis, who preceded him in death in 1945.  In 1959 at Newtown he married the former Kate Royal who survives him.  Other survivors include a son, Lloyd L. Taylor, Jr. of near West Point; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Morgan of Attica Rt 2; a stepson, Robert Royal of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Blankenship of West Lafayette and Mrs. Nell North of Attica Route 1; four grandchildren and two step grandchildren.  Mr. Taylor was a member of Jackson Heights Methodist Church, a 51-year-member of F&AM, Shawnee Lodge and the American Trotters Association.  Funeral services were held Sunday at Lafayette with the Rev. Arthur Schenck of the Newtown Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in West Point Cemetery.
