Oxford—Jack Tagg, 49, 330 Jill Lane, Oxford, died at 12:57 a.m. Sunday, April 23, 1989 in his home. He had been ill 2 ½ years.
  He was born Nov. 2, 1939 in Morocco. He lived in Williams, Iowa, for a time and returned to Oxford in 1987. He was married June 8, 1958 in Oxford to Lela Cyr, who survives.

  He was a 1957 graduate of Oxford High School. He was manager of Asgrow seed Corn Co. in Oxford, and he was a manager at Gro-Mark in Williams, until he became ill.

  He was a member of Oxford Federated Church and Pine Village Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star.

  Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Kenneth, Webster City, Iowa, and Ronald, Oxford; one daughter, Mrs. Dave (Cheryl) Askvig, Blairsburg, Iowa; his mother, Dorothy asset Tagg, Oxford; a sister, Kathryn Whaley, Lafayette, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Klaiver in 1986, and his father, Carl Tagg in 1965.

  Private family graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Oxford West Cemetery with the Rev. David Hummel officiating.
  Hahn Funeral Home, Oxford, was in charge of arrangements. -s
