THORNTON, Naomi Jane Ratcliffe - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Naomi Jane Thornton, 50 died Wednesday evening en route home from her home in Indianola, Ill hospital.  She was born Oct 30, 1899 in Kingman the daughter of Anderson and Elvisa Caldwell Ratcliffe.  She was married to James Thornton who survives.  A former resident of Kingman, Mrs. Thornton had lived in Indianola for the past six years.  She was a member of the Kingman Christian Church and of the Royal Neighbor Lodge.  Other survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Eileen Stevens of Miami, Fla; Mrs. Helen Byrely of Danville, Ill; Mrs. Nora Belle Shuman of Dayton, Ohio and Miss Miriam Thornton at home; one son, James Jr of Rockville; three brothers, Donald of Cayuga; Marshall of Anderson and Caldwell of Kingman; one sister, Miss Belle Ratcliffe of Kingman and 8 grandchildren. --  thanks so much to Bren M and  ~~~Transcribed and Typed by kbz
