Attica – Mable E (Smalley) Taylor, 707 North St, Attica died at 7:47 a.m. Saturday Feb 22, 2003 in Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis. She was born March 11, 1946 in Winthrop, Warren County, the daughter of Harley John and Mildred Sanders Smalley. She married Herbert Taylor, Jan 29m 1975 in Covington. She spent most of her life in Attica, graduating from Attica HS in 1964. She had lived in Kentucky for six years before returning to Attica. She formerly worked at Radio Material Corp in Attica and more recently worked as a nursing aide at Country Care Nursing Cener, Williamsport. She was a member of the Attica Assembly of God Church, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #3318 of Attica. She enjoyed reading, board and card games. Survivors include: two daughters, Mary (Mark) Grinstead and Cathy (Jack) Newby both of Attica; three sons (sic), Tim (Kris) Smalley, Todd (companion to Carol Kerst) Smalley (sic), Williamsport and Herbert (Companion-Angel Lynn) Taylor, Jr. Veedersburg; a sister, Mary Porter, Dunnville KY; four brothers, Bill (Peg) Smalley, Helen, New Mexico; Elmer (Mary) Smalley, Attica, Ed (Teressa) Smalley, Covington and Harry Smalley, Adger, Ala and 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas Scott Taylor; two brothers, Thomas and Harley John Smally, Jr. and a sister, Adrienne Norush. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica with Pastors Brian Vickers and Harvey Lange officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday). Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Renal Association. ---kbz
