SYMMES, Mary D - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Mary D. Symmes died Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock at the home of her son, Sam D. Symmes, 611 South Washington Street. She was born in this city Aug 27, 1828 and was a daughter of Nathaniel Dunn, deceased. She had been feeble for several days, but nothing serious was expected until Monday  when she had a slight attack of apoplexy. Death resulted from blood poisoning and general weakness of the heart. Funeral was private and took place at the house Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock conducted by Rev. EB Thomson.
