Mrs. Dora Switzer, 86, a former resident of Wallace and Russellville, died Friday in St. Elizabeth's Hospital at Danville, Ill. She had been a patient there 9 days in failing health six months. Mrs. Switzer had been making her home with a daughter, Mrs. Vernon Gardner at Danville. She attended school No. 11 near her home in the Horseshoe community west of Cayuga. During her early teens she became a member of the Friends Church. Born June 14, 1880, in the Horseshoe community, she was a daughter of Jack and Sarah Gould Youmans. She was married Oct 4, 1900 to Charley Switzer. He died Nov 1, 1955. Survivors include the daughter with whom she made her home; three grandchildren, Charles B. Goff of New Market; Mrs. Rudy (Alice) Merryman of Hillsboro and Mrs. Edwin L. Brown of Tampa, FL; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren, 4 stepgrandchildren, 16 great step grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at the Lutheran Church east of Wallace with Rev. Joseph Youmans of Noblesville officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the residence of Mrs. Merryman one mile north of Wallace on Ind 341 after noon Saturday.

Mrs. Dora Switzer, age 86, a former resident of the Wallace and Russellville communities, died Friday, Nov. 18, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient nine days.  She had been in failing health six months.  She had been residing with a daughter, Mrs. Carmen Gardner in Danville.
Mrs. Switzer was born June 14, 1880, in the Horseshoe community, west of Cayuga, the daughter of Jack and Sarah
Gould Youmans.  She was married Oct. 4, 1900 to Charley Switzer, who preceded her in death in November 1955. She attended the Number 11 School near her home, west of Cayuga and became a member of the Friends Church while she was
a teenager.
Survivors include: her daughter, who also maintains a home at Russellville; three grandchildren, Charles B. Goff of New
Market, Mrs. Rudy Merryman of Hillsboro Rt., and Mrs. Edwin L. Brown of Tampa, Fla.; 13 great-grandchildren; three g r e at-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lutheran Church, east of Wallace.  The Rev. Joseph Youmans
officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.  The Woodrow Funeral Home of Kingman was in charge of arrangements.
