SWEET, Charles Leroy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles Leroy Sweet, 70, a well-known resident of the Covington and surround community for many years died Tuesday at his residence.  Born Dec 3, 1889 at Redmon, Ill he was the son of Morgan and Belle Tabscott Sweet.  He was married Nov 15, 1913 to Cora Lewis who survives.  Mr. Sweet was a retired farmer and was a member of the Fountain Masonic Lodge 60 at Covington.  Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nila Craig of Chrisman and Mrs. Virginia Linton of Covington; a son, Virgil of Valparaiso; four brothers, Robert and Faris both of Marshall; Eugene and Harold both of Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Shotts and Mrs. Nila Wolf both of Gary; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Services were held today at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church near Martinsville, Ill with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. – kbz
