WAYNETOWN, Ind. (CNS) — Elmer W. Swank, 80, of Crawfordsville Route 3, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday (March 21, 1976) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had been a patient for 10 days. Mr. Swank was a former trucker and laborer. He had resided southwest of Yountsville for the past 40 years. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the European Theatre. He attended the First God Church of Crawfordsville. Born Nov. 6, 1895, in Montgomery Co., he was the son of William J. and Abbigail Swank Swank. He married Myrta Keller on Aug. 12, 1919. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Ralph and Cline, both of Crawfordsville Route 3; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Ovets) Dickson of Waynetown and Mrs. Wesley (Audrey) Ehrie of Crawfordsville Route 3; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Friends will be received after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Lowell Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
