SWAIM, Charles W. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles W. Swaim of RR 1, Kingman, age 71, died Thursday evening, May 6, in Lakeview Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Liberty Township, Parke County, May 30, 1910, the son of Harvey and Goldie Ratcliff Swaim. December 31, 1938, he married Dorothy Elizabeth Smith, who survives. Swaim was a member of Rush Creek Church and had been a farmer and carpenter in the Kingman area all of his life.

  Also surviving are a daughter, Peggy Horn of Portage; a son, Myron of RR 1, Kingman; a sister, Gretchen Norton of RR 1, Kingman; a brother, Harold of Rockville; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

  The body was taken from Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington to centennial Christian Church for services Sunday afternoon. Rev. Bill Moore and Rev. Glenn Ray officiated and burial was in Centennial Cemetery.
