SWADLEY, Ellis

Ellis C. Swadley Sr., 84, of the Odell community, died Dec. 5, 1974, at Machias Me.
He was born at Odell on July 28, 1890, the son of John W. and Martha Snider Swadley. He lived in the Odell community all his life and attended school there. He as married at Lafayette on March 20, 1920, to Ella Mae Grubbs, who preceded him in death, June 21, 1961. He had been employed at the aluminum plant in earlier life and was a veteran of World War I, serving in the army.
He is survived by one son, Ellis Swadley Jr., Machias, Me.; one sister, Mrs. Roscoe (Edythe) Finch, West Lafayette, and two grandchildren.
The cremains will be buried 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at Salem Cemetery with graveside rites conducted by Rev. Arthur E. Givens. Dale Maus Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. -s
