Attica – Roy J. Suttle, age 46 of Attica died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday July 26 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where he had been a patient since July 8. Mr. Suttle was born in Fowler on August 3, 1922, the son of Delbert and Rosa Ringle Suttle. He was married at Kentland Sept 25, 1948 to Joy Wright who survives. He came to Attica in 1951 as football, track and freshman basketball coach and mathematic and driver education teacher. He was coach and math teacher in Huntington County in 1948. In 1957 he moved to Walton and was in the insurance business. He was a graduate of Indiana State University. He was interested in all sports and recently had been a collector of old coins. He had owned and operated his own insurance company in Attica since 1958. He was a veteran of World War II in the Air Force, a member of the United Methodist Church here, Elks Lodge at Crawfordsville and VFW of Attica. Surviving in addition to the wife are two daughters, Denie, a junior at Indiana State University and Kelli Sue at home; two sons, Del and Rick at home; one sister, Mrs. Inez Williams of Excello, Mo; two brothers, George of Kankakee, Ill and Chester of Oak Park, Ill and his father of Riviera Beach, Fla. Funeral services were held at 2 pm. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church here. The Rev. Harold Bachert officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery.- kz
