Esmond Keyser Sunday, 64, long-time employee of the Veterans’ Administration died suddenly Saturday at his home 4927 Cordell Avenue, Bethesda, MD. Born in Mahanoy City PA Mr. Sunday came to Washington in 1918 and began working with the then Veterans Bureau. He was active in the Employees Welfare Association of the VA for more than 26 years and served as its president for many years. He is survived by his widow, Evangeline B. Sunday; a son, Courtney R and two grandchildren, all of Bethesda and a sister, Emily C. Sunday of Asbury Park, NJ. Funeral services will be held at the Bethesda -Chevy Chase Funeral Home of Robert A. Pumphrey at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
