SUMMERS, Raymond E.

HILLSBORO - Raymond E. Summers, 62, died at his home in Hillsboro Monday.
He was born Sept 15, 1905 in Wapella, Ill., the son of Edward H. and Addie Finch Summers.  He was married May 18, 1927 to Jessie Ragn who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert E. and Melvin D. of Hillsboro, and Joe R. of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Iris M. Davidson of Hillsboro, Ramona L. Main, of Bucks Harbor, Maine, and Lois O. Ridge, Crawfordsville; five brothers, Orville E.,
Romulus, Mich., Abram, Roy, Carl, and Peter oi Illinois; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Baker, Wabon, Minn., Mrs. Faye Nichols, Mrs.  Margaret Karr, and Mrs. Alice Jergens, all of Illinois; thirteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son and two grandsons.
He lived in Hillsboro for 32 years coming from Bismarck.  He graduated from Wapella High School in 1925.  He was a member of the Long Point Christian Church of Wapella, Hillsboro Booster Club, Hillsboro Masonic Lodge, 385 F&AM, Fern Chapter 194, Order of Eastern Star.
He was a plumbing and heating contractor and owned the laundromat in Hillsboro.
Services were held today, June 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Rev. Robert Shotts, Crawfordsville and Rev. Arthur Schenck of Hillsboro officiated.  Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.
