Veedersburg -- Luella C. Summers, 85, a resident of this area all her life died at 3:30 p. m. Friday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Chrisop of Monticello, whom she had been visiting the past week. A Fountain County native, Mrs. Summers was born Jan 17, 1881 to Samuel B. and Alice Krout Day. She married John M Summers Jan 4, 1899. He preceded her in death. Surviving besides the daughter, are 14 grandchildren, including Ed Powers of Veedersburg, who was reared from early childhood by Mrs. Summers and several great grandchildren. She was a member of Centennial UB Church. Friends may call after 3 p. m. Saturday at Parham Funeral Home, where services are announced for 2 p. m. Sunday with Rev. Mrs. Edith Bruner officiating. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery.

Mrs. Luella C. Summers, age 85, a resident of the Veedersburg area all her life, died at 3:30 p. m. Friday, Dec. 16, in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Chrisop of Monticello, whom she had been visiting the past week.
A Fountain County native, Mrs. Summers was born Jan.17, 1881, the daughter of Samuel B. and Alice Krout Day.  She was  married Jan. 4, 1899 to John M. Summers, who preceded her in death.  She was a member of the Centennial EUB Church.
Surviving, in addition to the daughter, are: 14 grandchildren, including Ed Powers of Veedersburg, who was reared from early childhood by Mrs. Summers, and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg. The Rev. Mrs. Edith Bruner officiated and burial was in the Centennial cemetery,
