VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) -- Mrs. Ladena Summers, 49, of Veedersburg, died yesterday (July 21, 1970) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where she had been a patient two weeks. She was born May 23, 1921, in Fountain County, the daughter of Fred and Mary Newnum Elliott. She married Gerald Summers in Covington on July 9, 1941. He preceded her in death in June 1969. She had been a resident of Veedersburg for 12 years and was a former resident of Yeddo and Cates. Survivors include a son, Charles of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Artie Crowder of Veedersburg; and two grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Friday at the Parham Funeral Home, with the Rev. Derald Ailes officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery near Wallace. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. --typed by Walt W
