KINGMAN — Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Summers, age 86, former resident of Cates and Kingman, who died at 1:15
a. m. Wednesday, June 25, were held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry McMillan officiated and burial was in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
Mrs. Summers died in the Friendship House Nursing Home in Bloomingdale where she had been a patient three years. She was born April 7, 1883 in Cass County, Ind., the daughter of Noah Frick and Margaret Allabaugh. She was married Jan. 5, 1901, to Henry F. Summers, who preceded her in death. One daughter, Mrs. Mazie Tibbett of Kingman also preceded her in death.
She had lived in the Cates and Kingman area for about eight years and she also had formerly lived in Logansport. She was
a member of Purity Lodge 127, Rebekah Lodge of Logansport; Pythian Sisters, Pocahontas Lodge and Daughters of Union Veterans, all of Logansport.
Mrs. Summers is survived by: four grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were three sisters and two brothers.
