Veedersburg — Henry J. Sullivan, 69, former bakery and restaurant proprietor of Veedersburg, died at 2 o'clock Saturday morning at the Washington Manor sanitarium in Santa Monica, Cal. He had been ill three months. Born in Veedersburg where he was in business most of his life, Mr. Sullivan was the son of James and Catherine Reagan Sullivan. He left here five years ago. Since then he had been a bakery supervisor in Los Angeles, Cal. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Surviving are three brothers, Dr. Paul Sullivan, of Attica; John Sullivan, of Valparaiso, and Leo Sullivan, of Miami, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Gretchen Fanning, of Santa Monica, Cal. The body is to be brought to the Fishero Funeral home in Veedersburg. Services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Covington at a time to be announced later. Burial will be at St. Joseph's cemetery there.   --typed by Walt W

Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Veedersburg --- (CNS) — Funeral services for Henry J. Sullivan, 69, former Veedersburg resident, will be held at 9 a. m., DST, Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Covington. The Rev. Otto Peters will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery with the Fishero Funeral Home of Veedersburg in charge. Mr. Sullivan died Saturday (May 19, 1951) at Santa Monica, Calif., where he had made his home the past five years. The body arrived at Indianapolis by airline Tuesday and was taken to the Fishero Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Wednesday.   --typed by Walt W
