VEEDERSBURG —Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Stump, age 70, a former Veedersburg resident who died in St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, were held Thursday, March 20, at the United Methodist Church in Hammond. Mrs. Stump died following an extended illness. Burial was in Elwood Cemetery, Hammond,
She was born in Jackson Township, Fountain County, the daughter of Elliott and Effie Banta Bowman. She moved to Veedersburg with her family as a small child. She attended the Veedersburg schools and was graduated from Veedersburg High School.
Survivors include: her husband, Perry; one daughter, Mrs: Guy Reid of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Harold of Tucson and Perry of LaPorte; one sister, Mrs. Thelma Smick of Chicago; and four brothers, Allen Bowman of St. John, David Bowman of Lodi, and Bruce and Joe Bowman, both of Veedersburg.
