Funeral services for Finnie Stucker, age 65, of Covington Rt. 3, a retired farmer and merchant, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica. The Rev. Elva Hardy officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Stucker, who had been hospitalized six days, was born Aug. 23, 1900 in Fountain County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Stucker. He was married May 4, 1937, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Beryl Stewart, who survives. He had operated a grocery store in Portland Arch. He served as the Democratic trustee of Shawnee Township for two terms.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are his father of Veedersburg; two sons, Frank of Kokomo and Ted of Georgetown, Ill. two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hughes and Mrs. Dean Coates, both of Veedersburg; one stepson Lloyd Biggs of Portland Arch; one brother, Lowell Galloway of Covington Rt. 3; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Hughes of Williamsport and Mrs. Doris Schroeder of Mansfield, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
