STUART, Daisy Romine - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Daisy Stuart, 79, resident of Veedersburg died at 9 p.m. Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Vera Lucas, Danville, Ill where she had been residing several months. She had been in ill health several months. Mrs. Stuart was born Sept 2, 1876 in Fountain County, daughter of Peter and Sophrona Culbertson Romine. On Oct 25, 1895 she married Samuel Stuard and he preceded her in death Aug 24, 1951.  Surviving with the daughter in Danville are two other daughters: Mrs. Virgie Lilly of Attica and Mrs. Mary Shoaf of Coolidge, Ariz; a son Vernon P. Stuart of Danville, Ill and a brother, Daniel Romine, address unknown. She was a member of the Veedersburg Nazarene Church.  Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Nazarene Church in Veedersburg with Fishero Funeral Home in charge. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. – kbz
