Maude D. Strean, 90, of 214 S. 10th St., Covington, passed away at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health for years and in the hospital for the past two weeks.

  She had been a resident of the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville for the last nine years.

  She was born on July 22, 1887 in Fountain County, the daughter of John M. and Clara Belle (Rogers) Hopkins. She was married in Covington to Ralph L. Strean, who died in 1940.

  Survivors include five sons, Bernard M. Strean, Arlington, Va., Lowell L. and Gilbert L., both of Detroit, James L., of Veedersburg, and Donald R., of Crawfordsville; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, two sons and one sister.

  She was a member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ in Covington.

  Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the DeVerter Funeral Home in Covington with the Rev. Harold Nolting officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Attica.
