COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) — James Leslie Strawser, 54, died at 3:30 p.m. yesterday (Feb. 9, 1969) at his home, 823 Harrison, Covington. He had been seriously ill a month. Born Jan. 15, 1915, he was the son of Alva and Inis Wilder Strawser. He was a life resident of Covington area. A veteran of World War II, he was a construction engineer for 20 years, retiring three years ago due to illness. He was serving as assistant cubmaster and was a boy scout leader for 10 years. He was married Sept. 29, 1942, to Sylvia Reismiller, who survives. Other survivors include his mother; five sons, Dale Lee of Attica, Jimmy Dean of Florida, Alva B. in the Navy, Leslie E. and Wendell A., both of Covington; a daughter, Carol Jo at home; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Allen of Kingman and Mrs. Anna Rose Smith of Covington; two brothers, Glen of Covington and Roy of Danville, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother. The body is at the Hegg Funeral Home. Friends will be received after noon Tuesday. Arrangements are incomplete.   --typed by Walt W

COVINGTON — James Leslie Strawser, age 54, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at his home at 823 Harrison St., Covington.  He bad been seriously ill one month.
Mr. Strawser was born Jan, 15, 1915, near Covington the son of Alva and Inez Wilder Strawser.  He was a life resident
of the Covington area.  He was a construction engineer for 20 years, retiring three years ago due to illness.  He was serving as assistant cubmaster and was a Boy Scout leader for 10 years.
He was married Sept. 29, 1942, to Sylvia Reismiller, who survives.  Also surviving are his mother; five sons, Dale Lee d Attica, Jimmy Dean of Florida, Alva B. in the Navy, Leslie E. and Wendell A. both of Covington; one daughter, Carol Jo, at home; two  sisters, Mrs. Juanita Allen d Kingman and Mrs. Anna Rose Smith d Covington; two brothers, Glen Strawser of Covington and Roy of Danville, Ill., and seven grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.
The body is at the Hegg Funeral Home where arrangements are incomplete.
