Attica – Albert Ellis Stoup, 49, of 811 East Jackson Street, Attica died at 2:25 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette where he was a patient only a few hours after suffering a heart attack.  He had suffered from a heart ailment for a year. Born near Veedersburg, he was employed in the plant of Harrison Steel Casting Company.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors are his widow, formerly Mabel Merrill, whom he was married to in 1926; a son, Robert Dean at home; and his father, Ross Stoup, Yeddo.

Albert E. Stoup, a resident of Attica and a former Veedersburg man died Friday afternoon April 3 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette after being in failing health for some time.  Mr. Stout was born in Veedersburg June 27, 1903, the son of Ross and Maude Yetter Stoup. In 1944 he moved to Attica to accept a position as storekeeper for the Harrison Steel Corp.  He was married to Miss Mabel Merrill of Veedersburg on May 24, 1926 who survives along with a son, Robert Dean at home.  Also surviving is the father, Ross Stoup of Yeddo and the step mother. He was a member of the Veedersburg EUB Church.  Funeral services were Monday afternoon at the family residence with Rev. JS Pritchard officiating.  Burial was in Riverside Cemetery with Fishero Funeral Home in charge. – kbz
