VEEDERSBURG — Ralph Nelson has received word of the death of a former Veedersburg resident, Roscoe G. Storm, who died April 8 in Memorial Hospital, Mattoon, Ill. Mr. Storm was born May 7, 1891 in Williams, Ind., the son of R. R. and Isabelle Gambold Storm. He graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1909. He married Corma Gearhart April 23, 1919, in Mattoon. She survives. Mr. Storm was a retired sales manager at A and B Transfer and an elder in the Presbyterian Church since 1923. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge of Veedersburg, and received his 50-year pin two years ago. He also belonged to Consistory in Danville, High 12 Club in Mattoon, Corn-belt Shrine Club in Mattoon and Shrine in Washington, D. C. Funeral services were Thursday, April 10, in Schilling's Funeral Home with Rev. William Burroughs officiating. Burial was in Dodge Grove Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
VEEDERSBURG -- Roscoe Storm of Mattoon, Ill., former Veedersburg resident, died in Memorial Hospital, Mattoon, after a long illness, according to word received here. The deceased was a 50-year member of Veedersburg Lodge No. 491, F & AM. He was affiliated with the Mattoon Presbyterian Church. Mr. Storm, 77, was retired from the AB transfer Co. where he was employed as sales manager. Born in Williams, Ind. on May 7, 1891, he was the son of R.R. "Tom" and Isabelle Garnbold Storm. He spent the earlier part of his life in Veedersburg, and graduated from the local high school in 1909. He was married on April 23, 1919 to Corma Gearhart who survives. Services and burial were in Mattoon.
